Sheldon Nathan

Sheldon Nathan has a diverse work experience spanning multiple positions and companies. Sheldon is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Atheer since June 2021. Prior to that, they worked at MobileIron from 2015 to 2021, starting as a Staff Software Engineer and later becoming a Software Development Manager. At MobileIron, they collaborated with product teams on multi-vendor integration and refactored backend rules engines.

Before joining MobileIron, Sheldon worked at Oracle as a Software Development Manager from 2013 to 2015. During their time at Oracle, they established an agile development practice and managed a team of eight developers across different time zones.

Earlier in their career, Sheldon held various roles at Saba Software. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Senior Software Architect, leading the development of the enterprise search platform with faceted search capabilities and complex business rule-based security. Prior to that, they were a Software Architect from 2010 to 2012, where they introduced embedded Solr and enhanced the search APIs. From 2005 to 2010, they served as a Lead Engineer on large asynchronous job processing systems and people management applications. Additionally, from 2003 to 2005, they managed development efforts on learning order tracking systems and implemented an ecommerce payment module. Sheldon started their career at Saba Software as a Software Engineer from 2000 to 2003.

Sheldon Nathan completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai. Sheldon attended this institution from 1995 to 1999. Subsequently, they pursued a Diploma in Advanced Computing with a focus on Computer Software Engineering at the Center for Development of Advanced Computing, which they completed in 2000.

In addition to their formal education, Sheldon has obtained several certifications. In 2002, they earned the Sun Certified Java Programmer certification from Sun Microsystems. The following year, in 2003, they obtained the Sun Certified Web Component Developer certification, also from Sun Microsystems. Sheldon has also completed various online courses, including Convolutional Neural Networks, Machine Learning, and Structuring Machine Learning Projects, through Coursera. The specific months and years of completion for these courses are not provided.
