Pierre Steyn

Pierre Steyn has a diverse range of work experience in the finance industry. Pierre most recently worked as the Finance Director at Athena Home Loans, starting in August 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Volt Bank from October 2018 to April 2019. From July 2017 to September 2018, Pierre was the Financial Controller at Brighte. Pierre held the position of Head of Finance at BOQ Specialist from December 2014 to June 2017, and had a brief stint as a Senior Finance Manager at BOQ Specialist from August to November 2014. Pierre worked at Investec Australia from April 2011 to July 2014 as a Finance Manager and from February 2009 to March 2011 as a Management Accountant. Pierre also has experience at Investec as a Senior Financial Accountant from January 2008 to January 2009, and at Barclays as a Finance Manager from November 2001 to December 2007. Before that, they worked at Société Générale as a Regulatory Accountant from April 2001 to October 2001, and at Absa as a Financial Accountant from September 1999 to March 2001.

Pierre Steyn has a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, which they obtained from 1992 to 1995. Pierre also holds certifications from CPA Australia, where they completed their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification until 2019. Additionally, Pierre obtained their ACMA (Associate Chartered Management Accountant) and CGMA (Chartered Global Management Accountant) qualifications from CIMA until 2017.
