Michael Consedine

Michael Consedine serves as the Executive Vice President and Head of US Government and Regulatory Relations at Athene since June 2023, overseeing the organization's policy engagement strategy in collaboration with Apollo Global Management. Prior to this role, Consedine held significant positions including Chief Executive Officer at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) from January 2017 to May 2023 and was a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) from January 2019 to April 2023. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Aegon and Transamerica, where responsibilities encompassed global government and policy affairs. A former Insurance Commissioner for Pennsylvania, Consedine has contributed to numerous committees within NAIC and is recognized for involvement in the U.S. - EU Insurance Dialogue and the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance. Consedine holds a J.D. from Widener University Commonwealth Law School and a BA in Political Science and Journalism from James Madison University.
