Piyasha Sarkar

Piyasha Sarkar has a range of professional experiences in various roles and industries. Piyasha currently works at Atheneum as a Senior Associate I in Global Markets Insight. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate in the same department. Piyasha also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Bone Bioengineering Lab. Additionally, they gained experience as a Bioengineering Intern at B. Braun Group, where they conducted research and testing on improving the functioning of medical IV tubing. Piyasha has also been involved in leadership positions, such as Vice President and Treasurer of the LU Bhangra Dance team, and President and Secretary of the South Asian Students Association. Piyasha participated in a virtual internship with SIT Study Abroad in Kenya and worked as an Engineering Intern at Lehigh University. Piyasha has also held roles at the Office of First Year Experience, where they served as a Returning Orientation Leader, Summer Staff, and Orientation Leader. Piyasha gained further experience in the field of bioengineering as a Bioengineering Shadow at Kinetics Prosthetics and through a two-day externship at Johnson & Johnson.

Piyasha Sarkar has a diverse educational background in the field of bioengineering and biomedical engineering. Piyasha pursued their Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering at Lehigh University from 2017 to 2021, obtaining their Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering in May 2021. Piyasha then enrolled in Columbia University in 2021 to pursue a Master of Science - MS degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, which they are expected to complete in 2022.

Prior to their undergraduate studies, Piyasha completed their high school education at North Penn High School and obtained their High School Diploma in 2017. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Trained Mentor from Mentor Collective in May 2020.
