Malcolm Cort

Malcolm Cort, Ph.D., is a Professor of Sociology at Athens State University, a position held since April 2016. Previously, Malcolm served as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Athens State University from January 2005 to May 2011, and held the title of Associate Professor at Oakwood University from 2000 to 2004. Early academic experience includes a role as an Assistant Professor at the University of Detroit Mercy from 1995 to 2000. Malcolm contributed as a U.S. Mentor for NIH-funded health research projects in Africa between 2007 and 2014. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology from Wayne State University, a Master of Science in Public Health from Loma Linda University, and a Bachelor of Education in English Education from Northern Caribbean University.
