Sarah Mikels

Sarah Mikels has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Sarah currently holds the position of Vice President, Program and Portfolio Management at Athira Pharma, starting in January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Seagen as the Executive Director, Product Team Leader from December 2020 to January 2023. Sarah also had an extensive tenure at Amgen, where they held various roles including Director of Business Transformation, Director of Global Program Management in Oncology / Hematology and Cardiology & Neuroscience, Senior Project Manager in Global Program Management, and Manager of Clinical Study Planning. Sarah started their career as an Associate Manager in Finance at Amgen. Before joining Amgen, Sarah worked as a Financial Analyst at Immunex. Sarah began their professional journey as a Research Scientist / Lab Manager at the University of Washington, High Throughput Sequencing Center, where they played a key role in developing a novel scientific method and managing the center's growth.

Sarah Mikels completed their education in the following institutions and fields of study:

- From 1999 to 2001, they pursued an MBA in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation at the University of Washington.

- Between 1993 and 1996, they obtained a BA in Biology and Chemistry from St. Olaf College.
