JuanJose (JJ) Bastida has a diverse work experience in design and development roles. JuanJose (JJ) started their career as an Associate Web/Front-End Developer, where they aided in the development of websites and interpretation of designs. After that, they worked as a UX Developer, focusing on coding and developing front-end systems, creating user experiences, and improving current systems.

JuanJose (JJ) then joined GEOTAB as a Web Developer, where they crafted front-end code to create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces. Later, they transitioned to the role of Product Designer, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure end-users' needs were met and designing simple and elegant interfaces for complex web-based and mobile systems.

Currently, they work at Athlon as a Design Technologist. In this role, they collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring designs to life using the latest technology, creating interactive prototypes and ensuring accessibility and responsiveness. JuanJose (JJ) also develops workflow-related software tools and creates technically complex prototypes for web-based and mobile interfaces, focusing on maintaining a consistent user experience.

In addition to their professional roles, Bastida has also served as an Interaction Design (IXD) Tutor for Sheridan College, where they assisted and guided students in various aspects of the program, such as design, code, user experience, and more.

JuanJose (JJ) Bastida obtained a Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design from Sheridan College between 2016 and 2020.
