James Cullens

James Cullens has extensive experience in human resources and executive roles. James served as the Executive Vice President of Human Resources at AtkinsRéalis since 2017 and previously held the position of Executive Director of Group HR & Marcomms at Atkins starting in 2014. James also held various roles at The Open University Business School, including Chairman of the International Advisory Board starting in 2022 and Non-Executive Director from 2007 to 2021. Additionally, they served as a Non-Executive Director at CIPD from 2008 to 2015. Prior to that, they held the position of Group HR Director at Hays plc from 2008 to 2014 and at The Linde Group (formerly The BOC Group plc) from 2003 to 2007. Before that, they were the Global Head of HR at PA Consulting Group from 1999 to 2003 and served as Group HR Director at The Albert Fisher Group plc from 1997 to 1999.

James Cullens holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology from The Open University. James also has a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Classics from the University of Cambridge, and a Master of Litt. degree in Ancient Economic History from the University of Otago. In addition, they have a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Human Resources Development from the University of West London.
