Betsy Riley has a diverse work experience in the publishing industry. Betsy started their career as a Freelancer for various publications such as Southern Living, Old Farmer's Almanac, Town & Country, Georgia Trend, and various corporate clients from 1989 to 2002. In 1984, they worked as a Publisher at AHC Media LLC, where they oversaw editors, publications, and obtained accreditations for continuing education programs. From 2002 to 2014, they held the position of Executive Editor at Atlanta magazine, specializing in service-related stories and also served as the Editor of Atlanta Magazine's HOME. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as the Editor-in-Chief of Atlanta Magazine's HOME. Betsy has been Editor In Chief of Atlanta magazine since 2017 and re-launched Atlanta Magazine's HOME in 2015. Betsy brings extensive experience in editing, overseeing editorial staff, and developing various editorial projects.

Betsy Riley attended Wake Forest University from 1976 to 1980, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
