John Young

Group President - Business Banking And SBA Lending at Atlantic Union Bank

John Young's work experience began in 1986 at Wachovia/Central Fidelity Bank as a Business and Middle Market Relationship Manager, where they attracted and retained commercial clients and specialized in commercial and real estate loans. In 2001, they joined Atlantic Union Bank as the SVP/Commercial Banking Manager until 2010. Afterward, they became the Regional President for Central Western Virginia, overseeing commercial banking teams and supporting the bank's values-based culture and community development objectives. Currently, they serve as the Group President for Business Banking and SBA Lending at Atlantic Union Bank, responsible for leading the Business Banking line of business and supervising Business Banking Team Leaders.

John Young received their Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from Binghamton University, where they studied from 1978 to 1982. In 2004, they attended the Graduate School of Banking at LSU, specializing in Banking and Financial Support Services for three years. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Creating a Positive and Healthy Work Environment," "Inclusive Leadership,""Excel Essential Training (Office 365/Microsoft 365)," "The Six Morning Habits of High Performers," "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging," and "Creating a High Performance Culture" from LinkedIn.
