Martin Rust

Managing Director, Corporate Banking at Atlantic Union Bank

Martin Rust has an extensive work experience in the banking and finance industry. Martin started their career at Wachovia Corporation and later joined RBC USA as the Richmond Market Executive, where they focused on developing the Virginia market and building relationships with middle market and corporate clients. Martin then joined Fifth Third Bank as the Managing Director of International Corporate Banking, with a special focus on Europe. Martin later moved to Wells Fargo as a Senior Vice President before joining SunTrust Robinson Humphrey as the Managing Director of Mid-Atlantic Corporate Banking. Currently, Martin serves as the Managing Director of Corporate Banking at Atlantic Union Bank.

Alongside their banking career, Martin has also been actively involved in various organizations. Martin has served as a Board Member of the (ACG) Association for Corporate Growth, Richmond Chapter, and has held leadership positions at Virginia Performing Arts/Richmond CenterStage and Carpenter Center for the Performing Arts. Additionally, they have contributed to the United Way of Richmond as the Chair of Corporate.

From 1984 to 1986, they pursued their Masters in MSFS--International Business Diplomacy at Georgetown University.

Between 1978 and 1982, they attended Boston College and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in English and Italian.

During the academic year 1980-1981, Martin studied at both Università di Firenze and Università degli Studi di Firenze, where they focused on European History, ultimately obtaining a Bachelor's degree in the subject.
