Vikas Kawadia

Vikas Kawadia is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in machine learning and software engineering. Currently serving as the Director and Head of Engineering at Atlassian, Vikas has previously held key positions at Meta as a Senior Engineering Manager focused on machine learning, and at Nextdoor, Inc. as both an Engineering Manager for Relevance and Ranking and a Senior Software Engineer. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Scientist at BBN Technologies. Vikas holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, as well as a combined MS and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
