Michael Kocurek has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Michael started their career at Sysco Foods in 1992 as an Account Manager. From 1997 to 2000, they worked as a Territory Account Manager at VIRCO MFG CORPORATION, managing 89 School Districts in New Mexico and 8 districts in El Paso County. From 2000 to 2002, they held the position of Medical Sales Representative at Alcon, where they promoted various pharmaceutical products. Michael then joined Follett School Solutions in 2002 as a Sales Consultant-Content, responsible for planning sales strategies and closing deals in the K-12 Educational Market. In 2012, they became the President/Certified Coach at Better Life Communications, LLC, focusing on improving workforce productivity through training and coaching programs. Currently, they work as the Vice President of Sales at Atmosphere Commercial Interiors, leading a team that provides furniture, flooring, and technology solutions to the New Mexico and Southwest Texas markets.
Michael Kocurek completed their high school education at Spur High School from 1984 to 1987, earning a High School Diploma. Michael then pursued further education at Texas Tech University from 1987 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Hospitality Administration/Management. In addition to their formal education, Michael has also obtained several certifications, including a Project Management Workshop from Fred Pryor Seminars/CareerTrack in January 2017, a Certified Behavioral Life Coach certification from PeopleKeys, Inc. in July 2013, and a Certified Behavioral Analyst certification from PeopleKeys, Inc. in June 2012.
