Firmware Architect and Team Lead at Atom Power

Mark Ford has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Mark started their career at Mitchell Community College as an Adjunct Instructor, teaching physics courses and participating in the NASA USLI competition. In 1995, they joined Thorlo as the Chief Technology Officer, where they were responsible for designing embedded control systems and both hardware and software development. After working at Thorlo for over 25 years, Mark joined Duke Energy Corporation as a Hardware Engineer, specializing in IoT development. Currently, they are a Firmware Architect and Team Lead at Atom Power, Inc. with a focus on leading a team and designing firmware.

Mark Ford earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, completing their studies from 1984 to 1988.
