Amar Kulkarni

Amar Kulkarni is a Senior Scientific Officer at the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board since August 2010, where responsibilities include licensing for RAPP-7&8 NPPs, providing technical expertise for LWRs and novel advanced reactors, and conducting design safety reviews and regulatory inspections of nuclear power plants. Prior to this role, Amar served as an Assistant Manager at Larsen & Toubro Limited from November 2007 to August 2010, focusing on the design and engineering of supercritical thermal power and combined cycle power plants. Experience also includes a position as a Scientific Officer and Control Engineer at Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited from January 2002 to October 2007, working on commissioning and technical services at 540 MWe nuclear power plants. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Gas Turbines and Jet Propulsion from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University, along with training at the IAEA's Leadership Academy for Nuclear Security.
