Joy Lee has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies and roles. Joy worked as a Process Development Engineer at Atomica starting in November 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Intel Corporation as a Process Engineer from April 2019 to November 2022. In this role, they successfully led process change projects, developed relationships with stakeholders, and drove key results to maintain Best-In-Class performance at Intel HVM fab sites. Before joining Intel Corporation, Joy worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Dallas, where they conducted research on CVD/PECVD Graphite and performed extensive characterization of substrates and thin films using various techniques. Joy also gained research experience as a Student Research Assistant at Northwestern University. Additionally, Joy worked as a Production Team Collaborator at AlumTalks, where they conducted interviews, documented them through film and photographs, and produced videos for web presentation.

Joy Lee completed their high school education at R. L. Turner High School from 2005 to 2009, earning a High School Diploma. Joy then attended Northwestern University from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Materials Science. Returning to school in 2016, Joy pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Materials Science and Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas, which they completed in 2018.
