Saulo De Oliveira

Saulo De Oliveira is a Senior Scientist in Cheminformatics at Atomwise. Saulo earned their PhD in 2018 from Stanford University, where their research was focused on developing computational approaches to understand how protein sequence, structure, dynamics and function are related.

In their current role at Atomwise, Saulo is responsible for providing expert cheminformatics support to the company's drug discovery programs. Saulo also leads the development of new cheminformatics methods and tools, with a focus on improving the efficiency and accuracy of Atomwise's machine learning models for small molecule screening and optimization.

Saulo's previous experience includes a postdoctoral research position at Stanford University (May 2018-August 2019) and a Bioinformatics Scientist role at Frontier Medicines (August 2019-December 2020).

Saulo De Oliveira has a DPhil in Statistics from the University of Oxford, a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Universidade de São Paulo, and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Sciences from Universidade de São Paulo.
