Ian Menzies

Ian Menzies, P.Eng. has significant experience in engineering and leadership roles. Ian started their career at Liburdi Automation Inc as a Mechanical Designer, where they worked on customer-driven new product designs for automated welding systems. In 2008, they joined ATS Corporation as a Systems Engineer and later progressed to become the Manager of Systems Engineering. In these roles, they were responsible for designing system solutions that met customer requirements, ensuring design accuracy, and coordinating project activities with suppliers. Ian also served as the Laser Safety Officer and provided engineering and design support for pressure boundary components. In 2018, Ian became the Director of Systems and Nuclear Engineering before being promoted to the position of Director of Engineering in 2021. Currently, they hold the role of Global Director, Engineering at ATS Corporation, where they lead a best-in-class global engineering organization and supports strategic planning and goal deployment for the company.

Ian Menzies, P.Eng. holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (M.A.Sc.) from McMaster University, obtained between 2005 and 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree (B.Eng) in Mechanical Engineering at McMaster University from 2001 to 2005.
