Sakib Mahmood

Sakib Mahmood, Ph.D., P.Eng. has a work experience that includes roles at ATS Automation and BWX Technologies, Inc. At ATS Automation, Sakib held the position of Group Lead - Systems Engineering, Nuclear since January 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Engineer, Nuclear starting from May 2019. At BWX Technologies, Inc., Sakib worked as a Project Engineer from May 2016 to May 2019 and as an Engineering Analyst II from September 2011 to April 2016. Sakib'sresponsibilities at BWX Technologies included design for manufacturability of nuclear components, reviewing customer technical specifications, performing design assessments and qualifications of equipment, and developing 3D models using software such as Ansys, Abaqus, and Solidworks.

Sakib Mahmood, Ph.D., P.Eng. holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which they obtained from Memorial University of Newfoundland in the years 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at the same university from 2008 to 2010. Sakib is also certified as a Professional Engineer by Professional Engineers Ontario.
