Eric Mitchell

Assistant VP, Diversity & Inclusion at AT&T

Eric Mitchell began their career in 1986 as the Director of Recruiting and Selection for Pacific Bell. In this role, they were responsible for leading the recruitment and selection process for the company. Eric then transitioned to SBC Corp. in July 1997, where they became the Executive Director of HR Services. In this role, they led a team of HR professionals in providing support to 32,000 employees in Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, and Connecticut. Eric also designed and implemented HR strategies and operational plans to complement the company's business strategy, technology, and organizational structure. In January 2006, Mitchell became the Assistant Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at AT&T. In this role, they are responsible for leading AT&T's diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Eric Mitchell received a B.S. with Honors in Biochemistry from the University of Stirling. Eric then went on to study Biochemistry at the University of California, Berkeley.
