What you will do in this role

The Commercial Analyst; Customer Engagement, reporting to the Director of Commercial Coordination will provide in depth data analysis centered around Customer Business Plans, Purchase Analysis, and Summary Statements.

Responsibilities  

  • Coordinate and Collaborate across Functional Disciplines to routinely analyze purchase quantity, gross and net purchases, as well as profitability at various levels of the customer hierarchy

  • Engage with Divisional Profit Center leads and Divisional Business Managers to model and develop annual planning templates

  • Conduct routine analysis of strategic partner purchases and provide insights and analysis around risks and opportunities compared to the business plan and prior years

  • Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, and Marketing Teams to provide visibility and actionable recommendations to the field

  • Coauthor the design and build of customer summary statements with Marketing and Commercial teams

  • Gain an understanding of the Atticus Enterprise Resource (ERP) / Operating system and Atticus Customer Engagement (ACE) platform to seek Business Optimization with the use of systems & processes to deliver Operational Excellence

  • Work closely with the ACE and Business Optimization leadership to identify efficiencies while driving the system set‐up to accommodate the implementation to successfully capture those efficiencies

  • Produce Ad Hoc Reporting and analysis as needed and support overall Pricing and Commercial Coordination team

Required Skills/Qualifications 

  • Minimum of four years of relevant work experience in FP&A, Marketing, Economics, or other relevant fields is required. Experience in chemical manufacturing preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or other relevant fields is required
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups), MS PowerPoint (charts, graphs)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze, simplify and communicate data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proactive communication skills along with strong initiative and balanced judgment
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Organizational skills with superior attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate across multiple functional disciplines
  • Excellent computation skills to make calculations with good speed and accuracy
  • Adaptable and entrepreneurial with a background in dynamic, fast‐moving business environment
