Mike Klein received their B.A. in Interdepartmental Studies (Biochemistry) from the University of Rochester between 1977 and 1981. Mike then went on to the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry to earn their M.S. in Biochemistry between 1981 and 1983. In 1988, they completed their Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to this, they attended Arcadia High School between 1975 and 1977.
