Eryn Shields

Eryn Shields serves as a Team Leader at Auckland Council since November 1999, with responsibilities encompassing the District Plan, Unitary Plan development, Environment Court mediation, and expert witness attendance at hearings. Eryn's expertise also includes structure planning for urban land rezoning, town centre spatial planning, and oversight of the Waitakere Ranges Heritage Area policy, alongside facilitating, mentoring, and managing project teams within Resource Management Policy. Prior to this role, Eryn worked as a Policy Planner from 1996 to 2010 and had a brief secondment with the Policy and Plans Project Team at ATA in 2010, assisting the Chief Planning Office in preparation for Auckland Council. Eryn obtained a Bachelor of Planning from The University of Auckland between 1989 and 1990 and attended Taupo Nui a Tia College from 1980 to 1984.
