Gan Woon Seng

Gan Woon Seng is a Professor of Audio Engineering and the Director of the Smart Nation TRANS Lab at Nanyang Technological University since September 2017, focusing on Smart Nation Technologies for citizens. Additionally, Gan Woon Seng serves as a Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Signal Processing Society and held the position of Technical Program Chair for IEEE ICASSP 2022. As a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society, Gan Woon Seng has contributed significantly to the field since January 2012. In academia, Gan Woon Seng has been a faculty member at NTU since May 1993 and has held various leadership roles, including Director of the Centre for Infocomm Technology from June 2016 to January 2020 and Head of the Information Engineering Division from May 2011 to May 2014. Gan Woon Seng earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Digital Signal Processing from the University of Strathclyde between 1990 and 1993.
