Victor Tamayo

Victor Tamayo has diverse work experience in the field of telecommunications and IT. Victor started their career in 2007 as a Project Engineer at COLDECON, where they designed network solutions for VIP and corporate customers. Victor then joined Anditel S.A.S as an Engineer Networks and Services, where they configured and maintained network devices and managed firewalls.

In 2008, Victor worked at ADMINISTRACION DE REDES Y COMUNICACIONES ARCOM S.A. as an Engineer NOC Remote, responsible for managing and maintaining PBX systems for banks and Telmex platforms. Victor also worked at Claro Colombia as an Engineer NOC to IP telephony, monitoring and resolving issues related to telephony services.

Victor's experience at SONDA DE COLOMBIA S.A as a Consultant Security and Communications involved providing expertise in security and communications solutions. Victor then joined PepsiCo Alimentos Colombia Ltda. as a Network Specialist Colombia, where they coordinated network changes and managed projects.

At BT - Global Services, Victor worked as a Consulting Senior IT, focusing on the architecture and implementation of unified communication solutions and videoconferencing for local clients. Victor also participated in the design and implementation of the phone system and Direct Routing solution for Argos Holding using MS Teams.

From 2020 to 2022, Victor worked at Sencinet as a Network Planning & Design Specialist, designing solutions for SD-WAN and unified communications. Victor also played a key role in architecting unified communications solutions and videoconferencing for local clients, including Nutresa, Grupo Familia, Grupo Argos, and Celsia.

Prior to that, Victor worked at SCB Global Ltd as a Technical Engineer, implementing IP telephony solutions, SIP trunks, and UCC solutions. Currently, they hold the position of Professional Services Engineer at AudioCodes, starting in 2023.

Victor Tamayo obtained a degree in Electronic Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, where they studied from 1999 to 2004. Victor later pursued a Major in Project Management in Engineering at Universidad de La Salle, completing it in 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Victor Tamayo also holds several certifications. Victor obtained the Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert certification from Microsoft in March 2023. In July 2022, they earned the DS4A / Colombia 6.0 certification from Correlation One. In December 2018, they obtained the Cisco Certified Network Associate Collaboration (CCNA Collaboration) certification from the Cisco Networking Academy.
