Patrick Messmer

Patrick Messmer has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Patrick started their career in 2015 as a Paramedic at A-MED Ambulance Service and worked there until April 2022. In 2016, they joined Audubon Nature Institute as a First Responder and later transitioned into the role of Emergency Medical Coordinator. From July 2020 to January 2021, Patrick served as the Interim-Manager of Security & First Responder at Audubon Nature Institute before being promoted to the current position of Director of Security & Emergency Services, which they have held since January 2021. Additionally, they worked as an Educator at Delgado Community College from August 2017 to December 2020.

Patrick Messmer obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Homeland Security Studies from Tulane University in 2023, following which they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree specializing in Public Administration at the same institution from 2023 to 2025. Prior to their undergraduate studies, Patrick attended Delgado Community College from 2013 to 2016, where they focused on Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) without obtaining a specific degree.
