Dr. Michael Hänel has a comprehensive work experience in various roles related to human resources and management. Dr. Michael currently works at Augustus Management & Architecture as the Chief of Staff & Teamlead Human Resources, where they are responsible for the complete employee lifecycle and the implementation of employee benefits. Prior to this, they served as the Senior People & Culture Manager at the same company. Before that, Dr. Hänel worked as the Head Of Human Resources at Kreisverwaltung Oberhavel from 2019 to 2021. Dr. Michael also has a background in the insurance industry, having held positions such as the Leiter Schadenmanagement and Leiter Leistungsmanagement at IDEAL Versicherung. In these roles, they initiated and led change management processes, improved service quality through automation, managed strategic projects, and performed leadership and personnel tasks. Additionally, they have experience in personnel development and recruitment.

Dr. Michael Hänel completed their education in a chronological order. Dr. Michael began their academic journey at The Berlin School of Economics and Law from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in BWL/Versicherung (Business Administration/Insurance). Following this, from 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Human Resources at FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management. Dr. Hänel continued their education at Leipzig University, where they embarked on a Doctorate (rerum politicarum) program in Human Resources - Personalökonomie (Human Resources - Personnel Economics) from 2015 to 2019.
