Alex Calon

Alex Calon is a Senior Project Geologist at AuMEGA Metals, effective October 2024, focusing on greenfield and brownfield exploration along the Cape Ray Shear Zone in southwestern Newfoundland. Prior experience includes roles as Project Geologist and Exploration Geologist at Aurion Resources Ltd., specializing in greenfield orogenic gold exploration from January 2018 to October 2024 and May 2017 to August 2017, respectively. Alex also worked as a Drill Geologist for ARGONAUT GOLD INC on the Magino Gold Project and held Junior Geologist positions at the Newfoundland and Labrador Geological Survey, assisting senior geologists in various capacities. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science - Honours degree in Structural Geology from Memorial University, obtained between 2010 and 2017.
