Mahdi G. has a variety of work experience in different roles and industries.

From 2017 to the present, Mahdi has worked at Aupera Technologies Inc. Mahdi started as a Machine Learning / Computer Vision Software Engineer (R&D) and later became an Engineering Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director Of Engineering.

In 2016, Mahdi worked as a Research Assistant at the University of British Columbia Electrical and Computer Engineering. Mahdi designed and implemented a visualization tool for pre-trained CNNs and served as a Teaching Assistant for computer engineering courses. Mahdi assisted in teaching fundamental computer engineering concepts to first year engineering students and modern software engineering concepts to third year engineering students.

In the same year, Mahdi was also the President of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Student Association (ECEGSA). Mahdi represented all PhD and Master's students, addressed their concerns and achieved a high satisfaction rate in the annual department-wide survey.

Prior to that, Mahdi had an engineering internship at CANstemGene Bioservices Inc in 2015. Mahdi also worked as an Audio/Video Sales Expert at VISIONS ELECTRONICS LIMITED from 2013 to 2014 and as a Sales Specialist at GUESS?, Inc. from 2010 to 2013.
