J.r. Tietsort

J.R. Tietsort has a wealth of experience in the field of cybersecurity and information technology. J.R.'smost recent role was as an Advisory Board Member at the Boise State Institute for Pervasive Cybersecurity. Prior to that, they served as a Member and Investor at CCL and an Advisor at DarkLight. From 2021 to the present, Tietsort held the position of SVP & Chief Information Security Officer at Aura, where they implemented information security and IT risk management strategies and advised corporate officers on cybersecurity threats, intellectual property protection, and regulatory compliance. Before joining Aura, Tietsort was a member of the Riverside Technology Capital Solutions Advisory Board and the Chief Information Security Officer at Darktrace. In these roles, they contributed to customer engagement, advised on product development, and introduced risk management strategies. Tietsort also has experience as the Chief Security Officer at Core Scientific and Micron Technology, where they built and directed information security programs and teams. Throughout their career, Tietsort has been involved in various advisory and membership roles, including serving as an Advisor and Member on the Idaho Governor's Cybersecurity Task Force.

J.R. Tietsort holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management and Business Information Systems from George Fox University. Additionally, they have obtained certification as a Certified Information Security Manager from ISACA.
