Catherine Gordon

Principal Scientist, Nonclinical Development at Aurion Biotech

Catherine Gordon has a long and varied work experience. Catherine began their career in 2004 as a Scientific Technologist and Supervisor at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In 2005, they took on roles as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Davis. At UC Davis, they taught three courses of BIS 101, Genes and Gene Expression and one course of MCB 162, Human Molecular Genetics. Catherine also designed, performed, optimized and analyzed experiments to functionally characterize human DNMT3B splice isoforms. In 2011, they moved on to Stanford University School of Medicine as a Postdoctoral Scholar. In 2017, they joined TrueBinding as a Senior Scientist II, Assay Development Lead. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Aurion Biotech as Principal Scientist, Nonclinical Development and Senior Scientist, Cell Therapy Process Development.

Catherine Gordon attended Stanford University School of Medicine from 2011 to 2017, where they completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship. From 2005 to 2011, they studied at University of California, Davis, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Genetics. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biological Sciences from the same university.
