Tim Conroy

Tim Conroy has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tim started their career in the Queensland State Government as a Mining Advisor, where they served as a principal advisor to the Minister for mining related matters. Tim then joined CFMEU (Mining & Energy Division) as an Industrial Research Officer.

Following this, Tim worked at BHP Billiton, holding various roles such as Practice Leader - Organisational Effectiveness, Human Resources Manager at Broadmeadow Mine, and Employee Relations and Remuneration Manager.

In 2009, Tim joined QR National (now Aurizon) as the Vice President of Employee Relations, responsible for managing the transformation and facilitating the privatisation of QR National. Tim later joined Vale as the GM of Coal Business Support.

Tim then moved to Aurizon, where they held various leadership roles, including Vice President of Human Resources (Enterprise Services, Network & Employee Relations), Vice President of HR (Enterprise Services, Remuneration and Employee Relations), and ultimately became the Head of People & Development.

Throughout their career, Tim has demonstrated expertise in employee relations, remuneration, HR strategy, stakeholder management, and organizational effectiveness.

Tim Conroy has a Master of Employment Law from Griffith University. Tim also has a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies, General from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) and a Bachelor of Business in Business Management (Marketing) from QUT. Additionally, they hold a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology from The University of Queensland and a Graduate Certificate in Management with a specialization in Human Resource Management from the University of Southern Queensland.
