Sara Sinicropi-Yao

Sara Sinicropi-Yao has extensive work experience in the field of biomedical research. Sara is currently working as a Principal Scientist at Auron Therapeutics since September 2022. Previously, they worked as an Investigator: Tumor Biology at H3 Biomedicine from December 2020 to September 2022.

Before that, Sara was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Sanofi from October 2018 to December 2020. Sara also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Ohio State University College of Medicine from March 2013 to October 2018, where they conducted pioneering research on the role of Notch in lung cancer. Sara was involved in designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and mentoring undergraduate students. Their research involved various techniques such as cell culture, genetic engineering, protein analysis, genomics, and bioinformatics.

Prior to their postdoctoral positions, Sara worked as a Research Associate at Eli Lilly and Company, an Associate Scientist at Biogen Idec, and a Research Associate at a small startup. Sara also gained valuable experience as a Summer Worker in the Protein Analytics Department at Abbott Bioresearch Center, where they characterized recombinant protein therapeutics and investigated the effects of oligosaccharides on antibody properties using techniques such as immunoblotting and mass spectrometry.

Sara Sinicropi-Yao holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Chemistry from Bates College. Sara also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Biomedical Sciences with an emphasis in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. In addition, they have certification in Emergency Care & Safety Institute (ECSI) Adult & Child CPR & AED, Standard First Aid, obtained in June 2022 from Critical Knowledge, Inc.
