Kevin Childs

Kevin Childs currently serves as the Director of Safety and Security at Aurora Public Schools, a position held since August 2023. With extensive experience in educational safety and security, Kevin has previously worked at Cherry Creek School District in various roles, including Security Coordinator/Investigator and CPI Instructor, from August 2012 to August 2023. Kevin also contributed to Aurora Public Schools as a Credit Recovery instructor in early 2012. An active member of the Colorado Army National Guard since November 2015, Kevin specializes as an Ammunition Specialist. Kevin's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management from Grand Canyon University (2019-2022) and a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education and Teaching from the same institution (2012-2015).
