Ji-Wung Choi

Ji-Wung "Karl" Choi is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer currently with Aurora since September 2023, and previously held similar roles at Zoox from December 2021 to August 2023 and at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc. from June 2018 to December 2021. With extensive experience in autonomous driving, behavior planning, and motion planning, Ji-Wung Choi has contributed to projects at Scania Group and Hyundai MOBIS, where responsibilities included development and decision-making for autonomous systems. A Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz complements educational foundations established with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Yonsei University.
