Yanbing Li

SVP, Engineering at Aurora

Yanbing Li is the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Aurora. Prior to joining Aurora, Yanbing Li held various leadership positions at NeoPhotonics, Google, and VMware.

Yanbing Li started their career at VMware, where they served as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Storage and Availability Business Unit. In this role, Yanbing Li was responsible for leading the P&L for the Storage and Availability BU, which included a rich portfolio of products such as software defined storage and hyper-converged infrastructure. Under Yanbing Li's leadership, the Storage and Availability BU became one of the fastest growing businesses for VMware.

In June 2019, Yanbing Li joined Google as the Vice President of Engineering and Product for Google Cloud. In this role, Yanbing Li led the Enterprise Services Platform organization in Google Cloud, which was responsible for Google Cloud Commerce, Cloud Operations, and Service Infrastructure. Yanbing Li was also responsible for leading engineering, product management, outbound product management, and design for Google Cloud.

Most recently, Yanbing Li joined Aurora as the Senior Vice President of Engineering. In this role, Yanbing Li is responsible for leading Aurora's engineering organization and driving the technical vision and execution for the company.

Yanbing Li received their Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering from Princeton University, their MS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering from Cornell University, and their BS in Electronics Engineering from Tsinghua University. Yanbing also attended the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

They work with and Sandor Barna - SVP, Hardware Engineering. Yanbing Li reports to Drew Bagnell, Co-Founder & Chief Scientist.
