James Rourke

James (Jay) Rourke has extensive work experience in the field of biology and environmental consulting. James (Jay) served as a Senior Biologist and Terrestrial Ecology Practice Lead at Ausenco and Legacy Environmental Ltd. respectively. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Biologist and Terrestrial Ecology Practice Lead at Hemmera, where they specialized in wildlife biology and environmental assessment. James (Jay) also worked as an Ecologist at the US Geological Survey, where they supervised projects related to the conservation of species. Additionally, they owned and served as the Principal Investigator at Rourke Biological Consulting. James (Jay) began their career as a Wildlife Specialist at the Arizona Game and Fish Department and held various biologist positions at Northern Arizona University, National Biological Survey, Bureau of Land Management, and Rutgers University.

James (Jay) Rourke has a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resource Management from Rutgers University, which they obtained in 1993. James (Jay) later pursued a Master of Science degree in Ecology, Evolution, Systematics, and Population Biology from San Diego State University, completing in 2004. In between, they also earned another Master of Science degree in Ecology/Biology from San Diego State University, which they obtained between 2000 and 2003. Prior to their university education, they attended Chelmsford High, but no specific degree or field of study is provided.
