Richard Armstrong, CET has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Richard currently works at Ausenco as a Project Director, leading various projects and managing a project management team. Prior to this, they held several positions at Ausenco, including Director of Operations in both Vancouver and Calgary, Director of Studies, and Director of Maintenance Capital Projects.
Before joining Ausenco, Richard worked at WorleyParsons as a Design and Drafting Supervisor for eight years. Richard also worked at Upside Engineering Ltd. as a Project Piping Lead and Veco Canada Ltd. as a Sr. Piping Designer, responsible for 3D piping design and coordination.
Richard has also worked at Bechtel as a Sr. Piping Designer and project lead for the Bechtel Washington River Protection Project. Richard has also worked at VECO Engineering as a Sr. Piping Designer and at BNFL as a Sr. Piping Designer for the Washington River Protection Project.
Their early career includes roles at Veco Canada Ltd. as a Sr. Piping Designer for the China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corporation (CPECC) Project, and at Canadian Occidental Petroleum Ltd. as an Engineering Technologist, where they worked both as an Engineering Technologist and an Engineering CADD Technologist.
Throughout their career, Richard has gained extensive experience in project management, design, and drafting, with a focus on piping and mechanical equipment.
Richard Armstrong attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 1989 to 1991, where they studied Engineering Design Drafting Technology.
