In 2007, they joined Aussie and worked as a Recruitment Manager until 2010. Celene then became the HR & Recruitment Manager, responsible for a large client group. In 2013, they were promoted to Head of HR and later became Head of Learning & Culture in 2016.

Celene Derrin nee Stanford obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a focus on Human Resource Management from the National College of Ireland from 1998 to 2002.
