Bernadette Twomey

Bernadette joined Austin Health as Chief Nursing Officer in November 2017. Bernadette has held a number of senior executive roles in Australia and New Zealand. She has successfully led large transformational change in the health sector and promotes standardisation of practice to deliver quality, improve safety and minimise risk. Her research interests focus on the role of nursing in improving health outcomes and she has published on advanced nursing practice. Bernadette is an authorised Victorian Nurse Immuniser, a member of the Australian College of Nursing, Victorian Metropolitan EDONs, Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD) and a Board Member of YSAS.
