Pieter Crathorne

Pieter Crathorne is an experienced music educator and pianist with a diverse background in teaching and performance. Since July 2019, Pieter has served as a Music Teacher at Austin Trinity Episcopal School, instructing general music classes for grades K-4, leading student performances for chapel services, and directing multiple productions. In addition, Pieter has been the Pianist/Organist at Holy Cross Lutheran Church since March 2013, accompanying the choir and providing music for various church services. Prior roles include Adjunct Faculty at Our Lady of the Lake University, where Pieter taught various music subjects and mentored students' capstone projects, as well as Graduate Assistant positions at The University of Texas at Austin and Western Michigan University, focusing on piano classes and choir accompaniment. Pieter holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from The University of Texas at Austin and multiple degrees in Piano Performance from Stellenbosch University and Western Michigan University.
