Network Lead at Australian Agricultural Company

Matthew Hamilton has over 25 years of work experience in the IT industry. Matthew is currently working as a Network Lead at AACo since October 2019. Prior to this, they worked at KPMG Australia for almost 18 years, starting as a Systems Administrator in August 2001 and progressing to become a Senior Network Engineer. In their role as a Senior Network Engineer, they were responsible for designing, implementing, documenting, and supporting infrastructure data network platforms for a customer base of 5500 people across the country. Matthew also provided third level support for network infrastructure and participated in projects to deliver scalable network solutions. Before joining KPMG, Matthew worked as a Senior Systems Administrator at Conrad Treasury Casino, where they provided support, programming, and troubleshooting for switching, cabling, file server, and mid-range systems.

Matthew Hamilton has a diverse educational background. Matthew began their education at Kelvin Grove State High, where they attended from 1985 to 1989. Following high school, they enrolled at South Bank Institute of Technology in 1990 and obtained a Certificate in Electronic Engineering, with a focus on Digital Theory. Matthew continued their studies at South Bank Institute of Technology and received an Associate Diploma in Computer Engineering - Network Systems in 1993, specializing in Network Operating Systems.

In 2006, Matthew pursued further education and earned a certification in Project Management through CompTIA Project Plus. Their educational journey continued in 2008 when they attended Cisco and completed the CCNA Cisco11355447 program. Later, in 2013, they enrolled in APMG-Australasia and achieved the ITIL Foundation VIII certification.

Through their various educational endeavors, Matthew has acquired skills and knowledge in a range of fields, including electronic engineering, network systems, project management, and ITIL.
