Ben Carter has a diverse work experience in the field of risk and compliance. Ben started their career in 2013 as an Undergraduate in Business Consulting at Edwards Marshall Pty Ltd. In 2014, they joined KPMG Australia as a Consultant in Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services, and later became a Senior Consultant in the same division. Ben then moved to KPMG UK in 2018, where they worked as an Assistant Manager and later as a Manager in Internal Audit, Risk, and Compliance Services. In 2020, Ben joined Nestlé as an Assistant Internal Audit Manager for Northern Europe. In 2021, they returned to KPMG Australia, this time as an Associate Director in Governance, Risk, and Controls Advisory. Currently, Ben holds the role of Risk and Compliance Manager at AFL - Australian Football League and has recently been promoted to the position of Head of Risk & Compliance.

Ben Carter completed their education with a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, from 2015 to 2017. In 2019, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business Administration and Management, General from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. Prior to these qualifications, Ben attended the University of Adelaide, where they studied Accounting and Marketing as part of their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.), although the exact years of their attendance are unknown. Additionally, Ben's education history includes attending St Peters College, however, no degree or field of study is specified for this period.
