Mitchell Simpson

Mitchell Simpson has a diverse work experience history. Mitchell began their career in 2012 as a Sports Administration Assistant at Touch Football Australia. Mitchell then worked as a Club Development Officer at Downs Rugby Limited from 2013 to 2014. In 2014, they became a Restaurant Supervisor at Sunshine Village Ski & Snowboard Resort.

From 2015 to 2016, they served as a Cafe Manager at The Elms, Punchestown. Mitchell then returned to Downs Rugby Limited as their General Manager from 2016 to 2019. During this time, they played a significant role in the development and growth of the organization.

In 2019, Mitchell joined the AFL - Australian Football League as a Competition Manager for the Darling Downs region. Mitchell focused on delivering competitions, club development, strategic planning, umpire development, and the growth of female competitions. Mitchell later became the Competition Lead for SEQ Seniors and State Leagues, responsible for managing the state league competitions and leading the senior football competitions team. Currently, they are the Competitions Manager for Queensland, overseeing all South East QLD community competitions. Mitchell leads a team of 14 and manages compliance, discipline, integrity, alternative formats, and participant analytics.

Mitchell Simpson attended Oak Flats High School, although the dates are not provided. Mitchell then went on to study at the University of Canberra from 2010 to 2012, earning a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management. After completing their degree, they obtained a Level 1 Coach certification from the Australian Rugby Union Ltd. in June 2013.
