Project Lead Operations – Marvel Stadium Upgrade at Australian Football League

Ryan McGill has accumulated extensive work experience in various industries. Ryan began their career as an English teacher at the Big Ben Language Academy in 2004. Ryan then worked as a Research Analyst at Eidos, a British video game publisher, from 2006 to 2007. After that, McGill served as a Key Category Sales Executive at Fairfax Media for a brief period in 2007.

In 2007, they joined Bergent Research, a market research consultancy, as an Account Manager, where they managed client accounts and conducted statistical analysis. From 2008 to 2009, McGill worked as a Coordinator at the Movember Foundation, a global men's health charity, where they developed and maintained event schedules and managed VIP client accounts.

McGill then joined Optus, an Australian telecommunications company, in 2009 as a Project Coordinator. Ryan oversaw the rollout of a partnership agreement with ANZ Bank across Asia. During their time at Optus, they also implemented Lean six sigma methodologies.

In 2012, McGill joined the Cricket World Cup organizing committee as a Strategy & Planning Analyst. Ryan coordinated the organization's project management function, facilitated data analysis and stakeholder reporting, and managed quick turnaround projects. Ryan later served as an Overlay & Logistics Manager during the tournament, overseeing the installation and removal of temporary infrastructure at the Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Gabba.

From 2015 to 2017, McGill worked as the Planning & Governance Manager at the Melbourne Cricket Club, where they coordinated corporate governance activities, strategic planning, and risk management. Following their tenure at MCC, they joined Tennis Australia as a Project Manager, overseeing the Melbourne Park Redevelopment project. Ryan was responsible for executing capital projects, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring infrastructure met operational requirements.

In 2022, McGill joined the AFL - Australian Football League as the Project Lead Operations for the Marvel Stadium Upgrade. In this senior role, they are responsible for delivering high-level project and operational outcomes for the upgrade.
