Patrick Roberts

Patrick Roberts is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the Assistant Secretary in the Internal Services Branch at the Australian Government Department of Finance since January 2010. In this role, Patrick is responsible for ICT governance processes including architecture, IT security, service delivery, and contract management, while also acting as the Chief Architect for strategic technologies. Previous positions include Director of Architecture, Director of IT Environment Services, and Director of Network and Database Services, overseeing infrastructure services and service direction in alignment with IT strategy. Earlier in the career, Patrick held database administration roles at the Royal Children's Hospital Foundation, Lonely Planet, and Australia Post, demonstrating expertise in MSSQL implementations and migrations. Patrick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from RMIT University, completed in 2000.
