Gerard Cheng

Gerard Cheng is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology and delivery management. Currently serving as the Head of Delivery at New Payments Platform (Australia) since February 2020, Gerard has also held positions such as Test Manager and Program Test Manager at various organizations including the Reserve Bank of Australia and National Australia Bank. In addition to a significant tenure at the World Health Organization, where Gerard serves as Chair of the Research4Life Technology Team, past roles include Test Manager at NEHTA, Release Manager at Macquarie Group, and Project Manager at a previous WHO assignment. Gerard's foundational expertise spans software development and quality assurance, with earlier roles also reflecting a strong engineering background. Educational qualifications include a Master of Computer Science, alongside a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) and a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science), all obtained from UNSW.
