Herbert Chang has extensive work experience in the finance and risk management sectors. Herbert is currently the Head of Capital Markets at Australian Retirement Trust, where they are responsible for portfolio management, asset rebalancing, FX hedging, and liquidity management. Prior to this, they held the same role at QSuper Group, where they established a Capital Markets function and managed global shifts across multiple time zones. Before that, they served as the Treasurer Asia Pacific at Philip Morris International, overseeing treasury activities in the region and arranging financing for major acquisitions. Herbert also worked at Altria, where they managed financial risk and conducted audits, and Exxon Mobil as a Controls Consultant, implementing automated controls and delivering workshops worldwide. Herbert began their career at Ernst & Young as an Information Technology Auditor. Herbert Chang brings a diverse range of skills and experiences to their current role.
Herbert Chang completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting and Computer Science from the University of Melbourne between 1986 and 1989. Herbert then pursued further education in Chartered Accounting, earning a CA qualification from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand between 1990 and 1991.
