Paul Japek

Paul Japek is an experienced professional with a diverse background in innovation, entrepreneurship, and energy management. Currently serving as the Innovation Manager at Austrian Power Grid AG since March 2020, Paul also holds the position of Founder and CEO at SHARK-Bike, an E-mobility startup established in January 2017 that merges the benefits of cars and bicycles. Previously, Paul was a Visiting Lecturer at FH Campus Wien, focusing on wind power, and a Consultant at Robotron Datenbank-Software GmbH, where responsibilities included project management and consultancy in Bulgaria and Austria. Paul founded Sustainable Energy System Consulting e.U. from June 2012 to February 2014, concentrating on business development and energy system analysis. Additional experience includes serving as Assistant to the CEO and Project Manager at GEBE-STREBEL and working as an Energy Engineer at PSKW Energieoptimierungs GmbH, focusing on energy storage solutions. Paul holds a Magister degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Vienna and a Diploma Engineer degree in Technical Project- and Process Management with specialization in Energy Management from FH Campus Wien.
