Ben Roess has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ben started their career in 2011 as a Group Ticketing Intern at Dayton Dragons Professional Baseball. In 2014, they joined Angie's List as a Marketing - Offline Media Specialist through the Orr Fellowship program, where they handled media buying and agency relationships. Ben continued as an Orr Fellow until 2016.

From 2016 to 2017, Ben pursued their graduate studies at The University of Chicago, where they completed a Master of Arts in Social Sciences. During this time, they gained extensive knowledge in research design, analysis, academic writing, and public policy analysis.

After completing their studies, Ben joined the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum in 2018 as a Supervisor of Visitor Experience for a few months.
